I am not the author of this blog post. It doesn't seem to be an informative and factual article. #2 Join Date Apr 2003 Location Minnesota Posts 6,556 Blog Entries 39 Thanked 8 Times in 5 Posts Re: How to Write an Introduction Our introductory paragraph really tells the reader what they'll learn about in this next section. There is some repetition like 'learn new skills' but it's done purposefully because it's kind of a theme of the article - all these topics are about expanding your skills and passions! I think the similarity in sentence structure helps tie this introduction together nicely. The recurring phrase is "to learn new skills". #3 Join Date Nov 2003 Location chicago Posts 3,754 Blog Entries 2 Thanked 1 Times in 1 Posts Re: How to Write an Introduction Well, I like this article. It is well written. I like the way it starts with broad statements rather than specific details that can be left for later on. I think you will do very well on the GMAT. Good luck! I think you should consider combining the information from these two articles: http://www.gmatclub.com/forum/166722-post1168889.html http://www.gmatclub.com/forum/170...-us-GMsAT-t83849.html#p1179324 Etape: I know that if I were to take the GMAT, and if I got a low score, it would be because of Reading Comprehension and Sentence Correction (and not due to my own lack of vocabulary). I might be able to learn the language of the GMAT by reading books, but I would never be able to learn the subject matter. Having said this, I don't think you should worry about subjects that are beyond your comprehension. There are many resources to help you learn English quickly, but not all of them are meant for someone who already knows English well. #4 Join Date Nov 2003 Location chicago Posts 3,754 Blog Entries 2 Thanked 1 Times in 1 Posts Re: How to Write an Introduction Originally Posted by sboeree Originally Posted by The recurring phrase is "to learn new skills". If you recall, I also provided a list of resources to help you further learn the material.
